About Reikan Photography

I have been a keen photographer for over 10 years, and I must admit that nearly all of this has been with digital photography, so I am not a student of the darkroom.  Although images can be immediately displayed after they are captured and edited in a digital darkroom without risk, the same basic principals of photography apply whatever the capture medium.

Using Canon Digital SLR cameras (EOS400D, 40D and 5Dmk2) and a variety of lenses, filters and other tools, I am able to indulge in experiencing the world through the lens.  This passion takes me to many places - often at strange times - and more often than not I am rewarded with some fantastic play of light over these beautiful landscapes. 

I live in southern England, and as such have a huge array of beautiful natural features to visit and capture - the Jurassic Coast, the New Forest, the fantastic Dorset villages to name a few.

Reikan is the Japanese work for "inspiration", and photography has taken me to countless places and inspired me to capture the images on this site.
